Miss Cami

Miss Cami is a 1998 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, as well as a 2002 graduate of Penn State University. She earned degrees in both Business Management and Psychology at Penn State. While in college, Cami co-founded "Tapestry" - Penn State's Tap Company.  Cami is also a graduate of the internationally acclaimed Dance Masters of America. She has studied dance since the age of 3, and continues her education at Dance Masters of America’s Teachers Training School every summer. She was captain of both her cheerleading squad and dance team in high school, and continues to be involved in the community, having coached the Upper St. Clair Dance Team and choreographed for the St. Louise de Marillac Cheerleaders.  Miss Cami was inducted into the Upper St. Clair Hall of Fame in 2008 for her contribution in the Arts Field for her Dance Studio.  In 2012, Miss Cami was named one of "Pittsburgh's 50 Finest" with a feature in Whirl Magazine.

Miss Melissa

Miss Melissa

Miss Melissa has been a Dance Instructor for over 17 years, with over 30 years of dance experience. Melissa graduated Cum Laude from California University of PA with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2006. Prior to attending Cal U, she attended Kent State University for a minor in Dance. Melissa has a strong belief in higher education. Outside of dance she currently teaches English as a second language online for VIPKid. Throughout her dancing and teaching career, she has attended Dance Masters of America in Buffalo, NY and the American College Dance Festival in Detroit, Michigan. Melissa has both dancing and teaching experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Cheer-Dance, Musical Theater, Preschool Combo, Preschool Acro, Mommy and Me, and Creative Movement. Melissa also has 3 children of her own, two of which you may see dancing in the studio too!

Miss Michelle

Miss Michelle

Miss Michelle grauduated from Point Park College (now University) in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in dance with a concentration in Classical Ballet along with training in all styles of dance.  She has studied under renowned dancers, teachers, and choreographers such as Mary and Nicholas Petrov, Kenneth Johnson, Roberto Munoz, and Ron Tassone.  She has been teaching for over 20 years.  She currnetly lives in Upper St. Clair with her husband and 3 children, Isabella, Alex, and Adam.

Miss Miriam

Mr. Adrian

 

Adrian Green is a multidisciplinary artist from Fort Worth, Texas who started his classical dance training at the age of 15 at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. He performed several works and ballets staged by Krista Langford such as Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Napoli, and Academy Dance Company concerts. Adrian has attended several summer programs such as the Royal Ballet in Covent Garden, the Glenda Brown Choreography Project, and Kansas City Ballet as well as an apprentice with the Pillow Projects directed by Pearlann Porter. Adrian is a graduate from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts earning his B.F.A in Dance: Ballet, and has performed several works at the university such as Shimmer by Maree Remalia, Spokes of Venus along with Thresholds both by Dan Karasik, Diversion of Angels by Martha Graham, and was a principal performer in A Solo in Nine Parts by Jessica Lang as well as In creases by Justin Peck. Adrian is currently a resident dancer with Texture Contemporary Ballet and also performs locally in Pittsburgh as a freelance artist performing in works such as Bluebird Pas de Duex, several Nutcrackers, and Swan Lake as a featured artist. As a passionate emerging choreographer Adrian has created works such as the celestial contemporary ballet “the Green Flash '' and the Nina Simone inspired dance for film “Porgy in Blue ''. Adrian is also a dance teacher in the Pittsburgh area who’s taught at studios such as the Abby Lee Dance Company, Studio 412, Dance Expressions by Erica , Dance by Cami, Dance Ink., and Dance Academy by Lori as well as masterclasses all across the Pittsburgh area.

Mr. Ben

 

Choreographer, dancer, and photographer, Benjamin James Belhumeur currently resides in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Benjamin is the Executive Director of Release the Fire Dance Convention and Competition, as well as the owner and director of Elite by Ben, the competitive team. Ben founded Release The Fire Dance Convention and Competition, featuring instructors and choreographers from across the United States, from some of the top companies today. It offers students the chance to learn and train with new and upcoming choreographers with a main focus on technique.  Ben graduated from Point Park University with a BFA in Dance. Shortly after graduating, Ben had the honor of performing and assisting in the re-staging of Torque by Kiesha Lalama for the Jazz Dance World Congress. Ben also attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Photography. Following his time at Point Park University Ben began working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a Dance Captain for many ships. After only a few short years, he was quickly promoted to Rehearsal Director. Belhumeur has had the opportunity to train over the many years with a wide variety of instructors since he began dancing. He has had the opportunity to train with The American Ballet Theatre, Point Park University, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. 

Miss Amy

 

Miss Amy has been teaching for over 40 years.  She graduated from Upper St. Clair H.S. Her early training began with Mary Underwood & Marilyn DeVondry in Pgh, PA. She has had training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Gymnastics. Miss Amy performed in various musicals such as, "Hello Dolly," " Guys & Dolls," "Sugar," & "Bells are Ringing" to name a few.  After graduation, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she studied at the Houston Ballet Academy under the direction of Artistic Director Ben Stevenson. She and her mother (who is also a dancer and an original member of the Pittsburgh Ballet), opened a Dance Studio in Cypress, Texas where she taught for over 10 years.  A surprise job transfer lead her back to Pittsburgh with her husband. Miss Amy then taught at the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet for 8 years and joined Dance by Cami in 2004. Miss Amy is married with 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

Miss Meredith

Meredith McCall is thrilled to be rejoining the Dance by Cami faculty! She began her dance training at the age of two, with a primary focus on classical ballet. Growing up, she spent many summers dancing with the New York City Ballet in Saratoga Springs, the Pennsylvania Governor’s School of the Arts, the Broadway Dance Center, and Steps on Broadway. Meredith combined her passion for theater and dance and earned a B.A. in Musical Theater from Point Park University. After being accepted into the Actors' Equity Association, she worked as a performer and choreographer for professional theaters and national tours. She has over fifteen years of experience, and a teaching style that she believes instills a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence in all of her students. Meredith lives in Peters Township with her husband Bryan and their children: Addison, Bradley, and Amelia.

Miss Alexis

Alexis DiNardo graduated from Peters Township High School in 2020, after dancing at Dance by Cami for 15 years.  While in High School, she was co-captain of the UDA 2020 National Championship Hip Hop Dance Team at Peter's High School. Alexis currently attends The University of Pittsburgh, with a double major in Computer Science & Digital Narrative & Interactive Design, with a minor in Film. Alexis has won multiple choreography awards already in her career! She is thrilled to be back at her second home (DBC) teaching weekly classes.

Miss Sarah

Sarah Georgiana studied at Dance by Cami for 6 years before being cast in Season 8 of the number 1 show on Lifetime, "Dance Moms." Sarah traveled the world training with the best teachers in the industry.  She currently tours with Revel, a leading dance convention company, assistant teaching several classes.  We are thrilled to have Sarah back at the studio to share her knowledge and passion of dance with the future generation of dancers!

Miss Steph

Stephanie Franciscus is a recent 2020 graduate from Duquesne University where she earned her doctorate of pharmacy. During her time at Duquesne, Stephanie was a four-year member, junior and senior captain of the Nationally Ranked NDA Division 1 Jazz Dukettes Dance Team. Stephanie’s passion for dance began at the age of two at Creative Dance and Performing Arts (Carpelz Center for the Arts); there she trained and competed in numerous styles of dance for 16 years. While working as a full time community pharmacist, Stephanie is excited and thankful to share her love and passion for dance with the Dance By Cami family.
